Chhattisgarh CM Commands Complete Delivery of Welfare Programs
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has directed officials to ensure that the government's flagship schemes benefit all intended recipients. Speaking at a conference with district collectors at New Circuit House, Sai emphasised that any laxity in implementing these programmes would not be tolerated. The meeting, which began at 10 am and lasted eight hours, focused on the importance of working with sensitivity towards public interests.

Ensuring Effective Implementation
Sai stressed the need for district collectors to work on a mission mode to guarantee that the benefits of flagship schemes reach every beneficiary. He stated, "Collectors should work with sensitivity keeping the interests of the general public. There should be no laxity in implementation of flagship schemes of the government." He also mentioned that good work would be appreciated, while negligence would result in strict action.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the administration's efforts should foster public trust in the government. He said, "The work of the administration should create a sense of trust in the public towards the government and administration." Regular reviews of collectors' performance and district rankings will be conducted to ensure accountability.
Focus on Law and Order
Sai reminded collectors that their primary responsibility as magistrates is to maintain law and order within their jurisdictions. He instructed them to ensure that only unresolved grievances at the district level are brought up during the Jandarshan public interaction held in Raipur. He added that these interactions should be organised regularly to address public issues effectively.
The Chief Minister also urged collectors to assist landless families in obtaining caste certificates without any difficulties. He emphasised prioritising the implementation of schemes like PM JANMAN and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. "The PM Janman Yojana is a new ray of hope for tribal communities," Sai said, adding that he would personally inspect its implementation by visiting tribal-dominated areas.
Promoting Sports and Inclusivity
Sai announced plans for the Bastar Olympics 2024, aimed at connecting sports talents from Naxal-affected and sensitive districts with the world. The event will also provide opportunities for people with disabilities and surrendered Naxalites to showcase their talents. This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote inclusivity and recognise diverse talents within the state.
Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, along with secretaries of various departments, divisional commissioners, collectors, CEOs of district panchayats, and municipal corporation chiefs, attended the conference. The comprehensive discussions aimed at ensuring effective governance and addressing public concerns through efficient administrative practices.
The Chief Minister's directives underscore his commitment to ensuring that government schemes are implemented effectively and benefit all eligible citizens. By focusing on law and order, addressing public grievances, and promoting inclusivity through sports, Sai aims to build a more responsive and trustworthy administration in Chhattisgarh.
