Chhattisgarh CM Lauds Sikh Communitys Legacy of Sacrifices on Veer Bal Diwas

Raipur, December 26: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai paid tribute to the Sikh community's glorious history of sacrifices during a program organized at Mata Sundari Public School in Raipur to commemorate Veer Bal Diwas.

Remembering the Martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh's Sons

Speaking at the event, Sai highlighted the martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh's sons, who remained steadfast in their faith despite facing immense pressure and torture from the Mughals. He emphasized that their unwavering spirit and sacrifice at such a young age continue to inspire and glorify the Sikh community's history.

Prime Minister Modi's Role in Showcasing India's Glorious History

The Chief Minister also commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts in presenting India's glorious history to the people. He acknowledged the Prime Minister's instrumental role in shedding light on the nation's rich heritage and inspiring a sense of pride among citizens.

Fulfilling Promises and Empowering Citizens

Sai reaffirmed the commitment of the BJP government in the state to fulfill every promise made under the "Modi ki Guarantee" initiative. He highlighted significant achievements, such as approving houses for 18 lakh eligible families and disbursing over Rs 3700 crore to more than 12 lakh farmers on Good Governance Day.

Recognizing Brave Children with Gallantry Awards

During the program, the Chief Minister felicitated four children—Amar Jyoti Jahire, Chhaya Vishwakarma, Janvi Rajput, and Bhameshwari Nirmalkar—with gallantry awards for their heroic acts. Jahire saved his friend from drowning during a picnic, Vishwakarma rescued her sister from a rabid dog attack, Rajput saved her five-year-old brother after an electric shock, and Nirmalkar saved two girls from drowning in a lake.

Cash Awards for Brave Children

In recognition of their bravery, Chief Minister Sai announced cash awards of Rs 50,000 each to the four children.
