Notably, the cabinet resolved that no new liquor shops will be opened in the state during this period.

Cabinet Approves Draft of Governor's Address for Budget Session

In preparation for the upcoming budget session of the new legislative assembly, the cabinet also approved the draft of the Governor's address. The budget session is scheduled to commence on February 5, 2024.

Draft of Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill-2024 Approved

The cabinet further approved the draft of the Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill-2024, which will be tabled in the assembly for the budget estimate year 2024-25.

Chhattisgarh Civil Court Amendment Bill-2024 Gets Nod

The cabinet also gave its consent to the draft of the Chhattisgarh Civil Court Amendment Bill-2024. This amendment proposes several changes, including the alteration of the District Judge's title to Chief District Judge and the Additional District Judge's title to District Judge. Additionally, the Civil Judge First Class designation will be replaced with Civil Judge Senior Category, the Civil Judge Second Class with Civil Judge Junior Category, and the District Court with Chief District Court.
