The Delhi administration plans to establish 1,000 "model ghats" across the city for Chhath Puja. These ghats will be set up in each of the 70 assembly constituencies. Atishi emphasized maintaining cleanliness at all ghats during the festival. She directed district magistrates to engage with local Chhath Puja committees. These meetings aim to gather valuable feedback and suggestions for improving festival arrangements.
This year's Chhath Puja holds particular significance due to upcoming assembly elections in February next year. The Purvanchali community's votes will play a crucial role in determining candidates' success in several constituencies.
