Chhath Puja 2024: Check List Of Indian Railways Special Festival Trains, Train Number, Destination And Timing
Indian Railways is addressing the increased passenger demand during the Chhath festival by introducing special trains. This initiative follows the successful management of passenger rush during Durga Puja, Dussehra, and Diwali. Over 7000 festival special trains are being operated up to the Chhath festival in 2024. On November 4, 2024, Northern Railway is running 39 Festival Special trains to cater to travellers heading towards Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and other regions.
The Festival Special trains primarily focus on routes from Delhi to various destinations in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. This step ensures smooth travel during the festive season. The full list of 'Festival Special Trains 2024' includes several trains with specific schedules and routes.

Special Train Schedules
Train No. 02252 departs from New Delhi at 08:25 and arrives at Patna Junction at 20:00 on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from October 30 to November 6. Meanwhile, Train No. 02251 leaves Patna Junction at 07:30, reaching New Delhi at 19:00 on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Mondays from October 31 to November 7.Additionally, Train No. 04096 operates from Anand Vihar Terminal to Ayodhya Cantt at 09:00 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays until November 18. The return service, Train No. 04095, departs Ayodhya Cantt at 09:00 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays until November 19.**Festival Train Services**Train No. 04519 travels from Gorakhpur to Chandigarh every Friday between October 25 and November 15. Train No. 04498 operates from Anand Vihar Terminal to Balia on Sundays until November 24, with its return, Train No. 04497, departing from Balia on Mondays until November 25.Notably, Train No. 2270 connects Lucknow and Chhapra six days a week, excluding Tuesdays, from October 25 to November 8, while Train No. 2269 runs in the reverse direction during the same timeframe.Train No. 2248 links New Delhi with Patna Junction on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from October 29 to November 5, and Train No. 2247 operates back on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from October 30 to November 6.**Comfortable Travel for Chhath Festival**The Chhath festival is crucial for communities in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and eastern India, prompting many to travel home during this festive season.
