Jaipur, Sep 28: A white tiger from Chennai zoo is set to make Udaipur his new home, but will take some time to overcome "language difficulties", say wildlife officials.

Five-year-old Rama was born in Arignar Anna Zoological Park in Chennai in 2011 and is trained to listen to commands in Tamil.

However, with his being shifted to Udaipur's Sajjangarh Biological Park on September 30, Rama will now have to begin to "understand" Mewari or Hindi, say officials.

To help the big cat in his transition phase, arrangements are being made to transport his Tamil caretaker to Udaipur for some days.

Officials are confident they will be able to help Rama smoothly overcome the communication problem.

"The tiger is slated to arrive in Udaipur on September 30. A caretaker is coming along with him from there. He will be here for some time and I think the tiger will be able to pick the local language or at least sign language," a forest department officials told IANS.

Rama will join two other tigers at the Sajjangarh Biological Park, which already has one tigress, Damini, from Pune, and another tiger from Ranthambore.
