Six coaches of Train No. 12578 (MYS-DBG) the Mysuru to Darbhanga Bhagmati Express derailed after colliding with a stationary goods train near Kavarapettai in the Chennai division around 8:30 PM on Friday. Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported, though a few passengers sustained injuries.

The collision occurred near the Kavaraipettai railway station in the Thiruvallur district, leading to immediate concerns about passenger safety. Emergency services were promptly deployed to the scene to assist those affected by the accident.
