Chennai central blast: Jayalaltihaa condemns twin bomb blast on train

In a statement issued here, Jayalalithaa said she was grieved on hearing the death of one person and several who were injured in the twin bomb blasts on Bangalore-Guwahati train stationed at Chennai Central Station here.
"I have ordered the police to investigate the crime along with the Railway Police and bring to the culprits before the law and punish them," Jayalalithaa said.
She also announced a solatium of Rs.100,000 to the family of the dead, Rs.50,000 to those who suffered serious injuries and Rs.25,000 to other injured people.
She urged the people not to panic as the police was taking sufficient security measures.
Barely 10 minutes after the train entered the station, two low intensity bombs went off in S4 and S5 coaches, killing 22-year old Swathi.
