Cheers In Dry Gujarat! Alcohol Now Permitted At GIFT City Restaurants
In a landmark decision, the Gujarat government has sanctioned the consumption of liquor at hotels, restaurants, and clubs offering "Wine and Dine" services within Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT), according to a directive issued by the Narcotics and Excise Department.

Furthermore, an issued Liquor Access Permit will allow all employees or proprietors operating within GIFT City to partake in liquor consumption at these designated establishments. Additionally, a provision permits authorized visitors from each company to consume liquor in these places, provided they are accompanied by permanent employees of the respective company.
Moreover, hotels, restaurants, and clubs either established or planning to establish within GIFT City will have the opportunity to obtain an FL3 license, enabling them to offer "Wine and Dine" services.
While employees and official visitors of GIFT City may consume liquor at these venues, the directive strictly prohibits the sale of liquor bottles by these hotels, clubs, or restaurants, as stipulated by the Narcotics and Excise Department.
It's noteworthy that Gujarat has maintained its status as a dry state since its inception in 1960. GIFT City stands as a globally acclaimed business hub in Gujarat, tailored to accommodate both international and domestic business entities.
