Check Out The List Of Guests Invited To G20 Dinner

Ahead of the G20 Summit that is going to take place in New Delhi on September 9 and 1o, President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday hosted special dinner for all cabinet and state ministers, all Chief Ministers, all Secretaries to the Government of India, and other distinguished guests.

Former Prime Ministers Dr Manmohan Singh and HD Deve Gowda have also been invited to the special occasion.

Chief Ministers Nitish Kumar, Hemant Soren, Mamata Banerjee, MK Stalin, Arvind Kejriwal, and Bhagwant Mann are among those guests who will attend the dinner on Saturday.

However, Congress chief and the leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge is not included in the invited guest list to the G20 dinner. Leaders from the political parties have also not been invited.

The dinner will take place at the multi-function hall of the Bharat Mandapam, the revamped India Trade Promotion Organisation complex at Delhi's Pragati Maidan.

Muktesh Pardeshi, who is a special secretary (operations) of the G20 and is heading the operations and logistics for the summit in a brief conversation with NDTV said, a short cultural programme accompanying the dinner is organised for the guests..

Apart from President Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is all set to welcome the leaders of all countries individually at the venue has organised lunch on Saturday for all the global dignitaries.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold 15 bilateral meetings over the next three days when world leaders gather in the national capital for the summit. On Saturday, Modi will hold bilateral meetings with leaders of the UK, Japan, Germany and Italy besides attending the G20 events.

Reportedly, he will hold a working lunch meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday. A meeting with Canadian counterpart is also scheduled to take place. Besides, he will have bilateral meetings with the leaders of Comoros, Turkiye, the UAE, South Korea, the EU/EC, Brazil and Nigeria.
