Chant anti-Pak slogans video surfaces, Army verifying authenticity

Colonel Rajesh Kalia, the Defence spokesperson said that the authenticity of the videos are being ascertained.

The videos in Kashmir do not seem to stop. Now a video of two Army personnel beating a youth and shout anti Pakistan slogans has emerged. The Army says that they are verifying the authenticity of the video.

The video comes at a time when the National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval was briefed about the fake videos being posted on social media accounts in Pakistan. In the video the soldiers are heard asking the students said to be from Pulwama whether he wants freedom. Further they are heard telling the student to shout anti Pakistan slogans.

Colonel Rajesh Kalia, the Defence spokesperson said that the authenticity of the videos are being ascertained. Action would be taken if the soldiers are held guilty for misconduct he also said.

The video was widely shared on the social media. Users also spoke about the video in which the Army used a human shield in Budgam district, Kashmir. A major debate had erupted following the video being made public. The government however has decided to back the Major who took the decision.
