Chandrayaan-3: A Global Symbol of Indias Technological Prowess
Indias Chandrayaan-3 mission, with its successful soft landing on the lunar south pole, has captured the worlds attention, highlighting Indias growing capabilities in space exploration and its potential to drive transformative development.
India's External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, expressed his pride in the successful soft landing of the Chandrayaan-3 mission on the lunar south pole, which garnered admiration from a large part of the world. Speaking at an event, Jaishankar emphasized India's strategy of maximizing opportunities and minimizing risks in the realm of technology, recognizing its immense potential for leapfrogging development.

Chandrayaan-3: A Milestone in India's Space Program
Jaishankar recounted his experience accompanying Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the BRICS meeting when the Chandrayaan-3 mission successfully landed on the moon. He described the overwhelming sense of admiration and pride expressed by African leaders and the global community for India's achievement. Chandrayaan-3 marked India's third mission to the moon and its second attempt at a soft landing on the lunar surface. With this feat, India became the fourth country after Russia, the US, and China to perform a soft landing on the moon and the first to touch down on its uncharted south pole.
India's Technological Prowess
Jaishankar highlighted India's technological prowess during his address at the 20th National Summit Take Pride 2023, organized by Young Indians, the Confederation of Indian Industry's youth wing. He observed that when people think about India, three Ts come to mind: talent, technology, and tradition. Referring to his visit to Sweden for a business meeting, Jaishankar mentioned that discussions centered around India's 5G network and its rapid rollout, which impressed representatives from Nordic countries.
The minister emphasized that several Fortune 500 companies are increasing their investments in India due to the country's abundant talent pool. He described Brand India as a combination of what India is and who Indians are, with achievements and contributions further enhanced by the nation's heritage and culture.
India's Strategy in a Technology-Driven World
In a technology-driven world, Jaishankar reiterated India's strategy of maximizing opportunities and minimizing risks. He acknowledged the immense potential of technology for leapfrogging development and expressed pride in India's digital public infrastructure, which has garnered global admiration. The minister concluded by stating that the Amrit Kaal belongs to young Indians and that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government has laid a strong foundation during this decade to realize the goal of Viksit Bharat, a developed India.
