Chandrababu Naidu demands Bharat Ratna for NT Rama Rao
The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP) and president of Telugu Desam Party (TDP), N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday demanded Bharat Ratna for Former CM and founder of Telugu Desam Party Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.

While speaking at the annual 'Mahanadu', TDP party convention, Naidu said,''in recognition of the great actor and leader's services to the State. We have demanded Bharat Ratna to NTR several times, but it has not been conceded so far.''
Born in 1923 in Krishna district of the coastal Andhra Pradesh, NTR was a legendary Telugu actor and created history by storming to power in 1983 in just nine months after forming TDP.
In January 1996, the legendary actor-turned politician died of cardiac arrest. It is widely believed that the coup resulted in the actor's weakened heart, resulting in his death.
