Centre praises Nalco performance

Bhubaneswar, Mar 21: Union Minister of State for Steel & Mines Vishnu Deo Sai today appreciated aluminium major Nalco's performance despite a sluggish market and asked the Navaratna company to continue its strategic initiatives.

The Union Minister also appreciated Nalco's all weather business model while reviewing its performance during a visit to the company's corporate office here this evening, a company release said.

Sai also advised Nalco management to continue its strategic initiatives to remain ahead of competitions in national and international markets.

Nalco's CMD, Tapan Kumar Chand, apprised the minister of the efforts made by the company in promoting the consumption and application of aluminium. A copy of the book 'Aluminium : The Strategic Metal', written by Dr Chand, was presented to him.
