CBSE Warns Against Fake Announcements As Over 42 Lakh Students Await Official 2025 Results
The CBSE board examination results for 2025 are drawing near. Amid this, a surge in misinformation and forged letters regarding the result announcement has led to widespread confusion among students and parents.
A fake notice dated May 2, 2025, falsely claiming that the CBSE Class 10 results would be released, has been circulating on social media, leaving more than 42 lakh students anxiously awaiting clarity.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially responded via the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter), stating that no formal announcement has been made concerning the release of either Class 10 or Class 12 results for the academic year 2025.
"We advise students, parents, and stakeholders to refrain from sharing unverified news and rely solely on official sources for updates," the board stated. It also directed the public to consult the official website - cbse.gov.in - for accurate and timely information.

The fabricated notice falsely claims that the CBSE Class 10 results would be declared on 6 May 2025 at 11:00 AM and includes misleading instructions on how to access the results and what would be shown on the mark sheets.
Although the CBSE is anticipated to release the Class 10 and Class 12 results soon, no confirmed date or time has been provided yet. Based on previous years' patterns, the results are expected to be published during the second week of May.

This year, over 42 lakh students took part in the board examinations, including 24.12 lakh in Class 10 and 17.88 lakh in Class 12. The exams were held at 7,842 centres across India and in 26 countries worldwide.
The CBSE Class 10 examinations concluded on March 18, while Class 12 exams wrapped up on April 4.
