CBSE-UGC NET results released

New Delhi, Nov 22: CBSE has finally released its UGC NET results 2016 for July Exams on Monday November 21. While aspirants can check their results at various government websites, candidates can also check out the cut off marks of various subjects.

The Central Board of Secoondary Education had successfully conducted the National Eligibility Test (NET) 2016 Examinations on Sunday, 10th July 2016. The examination was held across 88 cities, while on Srinagar it was held on August 28.

Why was the exam held?

IT was held to determine the eligibility of candidates for the posts of assistant professor and Junior Research Fellowship.

Candidates who have qualified for the JRF are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their postgraduation or in a related subject. They can also apply for the post of an assistant professor in Indian universities and colleges.

The award of JRF and eligibility for assistant professor's post depends on the performance of the candidate in all the three papers of NET. However, candidates qualifying for assistant professorship are not considered for JRF.

How to check the results

  • Visit the official website
  • Click on 'UGC NET July Examination Result 2016' under the current events section on the left side of the page
  • Enter roll number nad date of birth
  • Click on submit
  • Result will be displayed on screen
  • Take a print out of future reference
