CBSE Extends Deadline For Single Girl Child Scholarship Applications To THIS Date

The Central Board of Secondary Education ( CBSE) has extended the deadline for the Single Girl Child Scholarship applications to February 8, 2025. Eligible students can apply for new scholarships and renewals on cbse.gov.in. Schools have until February 15, 2025, to verify applications. The scholarship is aimed at single girl children who scored at least 70% in their Class 10 exams.

Eligibility Criteria for CBSE Scholarship

To qualify, applicants must be single-girl students who achieved a minimum of 70% in the CBSE Class X Examination. They should be studying in Class XI or XII at a CBSE-affiliated school. The tuition fee must not exceed Rs. 2,500 per month during the academic year for these classes.

NRI applicants can also apply if their tuition fees do not surpass Rs. 6,000 monthly. The scholarship is exclusively available to Indian nationals who continue their studies in Class XI and XII at a CBSE-affiliated institution.

Scholarship Benefits and Renewal Conditions

The scholarship provides Rs. 1,000 monthly for up to two years. Students can also benefit from additional concessions offered by schools or other organisations while receiving this scholarship. Families with an annual income of up to Rs. 8 lakh are eligible.

Renewal is possible after completing Class XI successfully, provided the student advances to the next class with at least 50% aggregate marks. If a scholar changes courses or schools before completion, board approval is needed for renewal.

Additional Requirements and Conduct

The continuation of the scholarship depends on maintaining good conduct and regular attendance. A student must have passed the CBSE Class X Examination in 2024 to be eligible for this scheme.
