CBI raids offices of Bengal-based microfinance company
Kolkata, Aug 14: The CBI on Friday conducted raids on several locations of Suraha Micro Finance (Sunmarg), a Bengal-based deposit-seeking firm in connection with the multi-crore chit fund scams running across West Bengal, Assam and Odisha.
The Central Bureau of Investigation has raided more than 15 locations of the firm, alleged to have raised public money without proper sanction.

"Raids are being conducted at 15 locations in West Bengal, and one each in Gaya and Mumbai," said a CBI official.
The searches are being conducted across the city, Howrah, Hooghly and North 24 parganas districts.
