Abhijit Mondal, the officer in charge of Tala Police Station, has also been arrested for his alleged involvement in the same case. The hospital falls under Tala Police Station's jurisdiction. Mondal was questioned by CBI officers for several hours at their CGO Complex office before his arrest. He failed to provide satisfactory answers during the interrogation.
