Caught on camera: Morena BJP MLA Rustam Singh slaps toll employee

Bhopal, August 14: BJP MLA Rustam Singh and his son Rakesh Singh were on Thursday caught on camera while slapping and thrashing a toll plaza employee in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh.

According to reports, the condemnable incident took place near Morena on late Wednesday night on Agra-Mumbai National Highway.

The whole incident was caught in a CCTV footage showing Rustam Singh coming out of his SUV car and slapping a toll employee, as he was asked to pay toll tax.

Shockingly, the complaint has been filed against the toll plaza employees and two persons have been reportedly arrested.

Even the toll plaza employees have not registered any complaint against BJP workers, involved in the brawl.

Rustam Singh was earlier a policeman, but he later entered into politics and joined BJP.

He was quoted as saying to a media house, "Neither I nor my son slapped anyone at the toll plaza. We only tried to mediate a fight there."

Meanwhile, the ruling BJP government in Madhya Pradesh has downplayed the incident while opposition has demanded government's response.
