Caught on camera: Doctor thrashed by patient's family for delay in treatment

In a shocking instance of lawlessness in Maharashtra, a doctor was thrashed by patient's relatives at a government hospital at Dhule city. The doctor was thrashed due to alleged delay in treatment.

The assault was caught on camera. The incident happened on Monday night when the family members of the patient dragged the doctor and started beating him brutally. The video which went viral shows a crowd which included relatives of patients, beating up the doctor at the Dhule civil hospital.

Meanwhile, the doctors in Dhule protested against beating up of their colleague in a hospital by patient's relatives and are demanding more protection.

The police said that nine identified persons have been arrested and that an FIR has been registered against the accused, who can be seen beating up the doctor, under relevant sections of the IPC.
