Caught on cam: Drunk duo jump to death in Maharashtra, fall into 2,000-ft valley

The duo was part of a group of seven people who had come on a picnic

A video of two men holding liquor bottles and jumping into a 2,000 ft valley in Maharashtra has emerged. The incident is said to have taken place on August 1.

The youngsters in the video are seen displaying antics near the fence at Kawale Saad Point in Amboli Ghat. They sit on the fence first as those recording the video cheer on. The duo is then seen crossing over the fence. Even as people around call out to the duo, the duo is caught on camera falling into the 2,000 feet valley.

The place where the incident took place is a popular picnic spot in Maharashtra. For four days their bodies could not be recovered owing to weather conditions. The deceased were identified as 26-year-old Imran Garadi and 21-year-old Pratap Rathod.

Officials said that the duo was part of a group of seven friends. The group had visited the picnic spot, spent some time and moved along but the duo returned separating from the crowd. When they did not return, the others were alarmed and approached the police.

The video of the duo's fall emerged later. Locals and shopkeepers near the spot informed the police of how the duo fell into the valley.
