CAT 2024: Complete List Of Documents For Shortlisted Candidates
The Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) announced the results of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 on Thursday evening. Engineering students and male candidates have emerged as the top performers this year. Out of the 14 students who scored a perfect 100 percentile, 13 are engineers. Gender-wise, 13 of the top scorers are male, with only one female candidate making the list, according to the NDTV report.
IIMs are expected to release the list of shortlisted candidates for the next stage of the admissions process soon. Shortlisting will be based on the CAT scores and specific criteria set by each institute. IIMs will send interview letters to the shortlisted candidates directly, with the shortlisting criteria varying across different IIMs.
Documents Required For Interview
Candidates who are shortlisted for the interview will need to present the following documents:
1. Mark Sheets and Degree Certificates: Candidates must bring all original mark sheets and degree certificates. Attested copies of these documents must also be submitted to verify eligibility.
2. Reservation Category Requirements: SC, ST, NC-OBC, EWS, and PwD candidates must present their original caste/class and/or disability certificate, along with a photocopy, at the time of the interview.
3. For Final-Year Graduation Candidates: Shortlisted candidates who are in their final year of graduation or equivalent must provide a certificate from their institution. This certificate must confirm that they have obtained at least 50 per cent marks or an equivalent grade in their latest exams. These candidates will be admitted provisionally, with final admission contingent upon submission of their original mark sheet and degree certificate.
The deadline for submitting the qualifying degree and mark sheet is December 31. Failure to submit these documents will result in automatic cancellation of admission.
With the results now out, IIMs are set to move forward with the next steps in their rigorous selection process.
