Cash Payment, Fake Name: Details Of Sachin, Seema Haider's Stay in Room No. 204 Of Kathmandu Hotel Revealed

A hotel owner in Kathmandu, Nepal, on Wednesday claimed that a Pakistani citizen named Seema Haider, who was arrested in Noida for illegally entering India in May, stayed at his hotel with her Indian partner Sachin Meena. The couple had booked a room No. 204 under the name 'Shivansh' during their stay.

The hotel owner mentioned that they mostly remained inside their room during their 7-8 day stay, occasionally going out in the evenings and returning early as the hotel closed by 9.30-10 pm.

Sachin had made a pre-booking at the hotel and informed the staff that his "wife," Seema, would join him the next day. Seema arrived as planned, and they both left separately without any children. Sachin used the alias name "Shivansh" during their stay and paid in cash using Indian currency notes.

Seema Haider was questioned by the Anti-Terrorist Squad of the Uttar Pradesh Police for 12 hours regarding her meeting, illegal entry into India through Nepal, and other details. Sachin Meena and his father, Netrapal Singh, were also questioned by the police. During the interrogation, Seema consistently maintained that she came to India solely to meet her boyfriend, Sachin Meena.

The Anti-Terrorist Squad is currently cross-verifying Seema's statements with data from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). Her mobile phone and other belongings are with the police for data extraction. The Uttar Pradesh Police, involved in the investigation, stated that there is no suspicion of her involvement in spying, but definitive conclusions cannot be drawn at this early stage. The local police are separately investigating the case under the Foreigners Act and have yet to file a chargesheet.

Prashant Kumar, Uttar Pradesh Special Director General of Police, emphasized that it would be premature to make any statements about spy allegations until sufficient evidence is available. He acknowledged the porous nature of India's border with Nepal, where no passport is required and appearances alone do not reveal the intentions of individuals. Kumar also mentioned that no team is being sent to Nepal to investigate how Seema Haider entered India.

Seema Haider, aged 30, and Sachin Meena, aged 22, were initially arrested by the local police in Greater Noida on July 4 but were later granted bail by a court on July 7. The couple's arrest will depend on the outcome of the inquiry related to national security.

Seema Haider entered India with her four children by bus from Nepal in May to live with Sachin Meena. The couple claims to have married in Nepal earlier this year after initially getting in touch through the online game PUBG in 2019.

On July 4, Seema Haider was arrested for illegal entry into India, while Sachin Meena was held for sheltering illegal immigrants. They were both granted bail by a local court on July 7 and have been residing together with Seema's four children in a house in the Rabupura area. Seema expressed her desire to stay in India with Sachin and stated that she has embraced Hinduism.

According to reports, Pakistan's intelligence agencies have informed the government that "love" was the primary reason behind Seema Haider clandestinely entering India as a mother of four.
