Case registered against actor Shekhar Suman for provoking religious sentiments
Jind, Mar 25: A case was on March 24 registered against actor Shekhar Suman on the charge of provoking religious sentiments with his remarks on Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, police said.
According to a complaint registered by Satish Kumar, a native of Khadarwal village, Suman had made "wrong comments" about the Dera chief and the word 'insaan' associated with the Dera chief during a live programme, said Narvana Sadar police station SHO Mandeep.

Kumar in his complaint said that when he watched the programme on Youtube his religious sentiments were hurt following which he registered a complaint against the actor at Narwana police station.
Kumar that Suman's comment had also hurt the sentiments of the sadhu community. The SHO said appropriate action will be taken on the complaint.
Kumar claimed that the film 'MSG-The Messenger', in which Gurmeet Ram Rahim played the title role, was contributing to improving the society and youths were giving up their addiction to drugs and alcohol.
