Car Free Day reduced congestion on Gurgaon roads: Police
Gurgaon, Oct 9: The Car Free Day (CFD) initiative launched to decongest the roads here has led to around 25 percent reduction in the number of cars on the four corridors in the Millennium City and a 16-20 percent reduction in pollution, a senior police officer said on Friday.
CFD, launched on September 22 and observed every Tuesday, has made the city hassle-free and kept the skies blue, Gurgaon joint commissioner of police (traffic) Bharti Arora said.
