Car driver dies while trying to save two jaywalkers

New Delhi, Oct 25: A 25-year-old car driver was killed when he lost control of his vehicle while trying to save two jaywalkers here in Connaught Place area in the heart of the national capital.

The incident took place late last night when Ashwini Kumar's car hit another car before crashing into a pavement and overturning in Connaught Place's B block area of the Outer Circle. "Kumar, who was returning from his place of work, had tried to save the men crossing the road when he lost control of his car and met with the accident," said a police official.

He was taken to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, police said.
