Canadian PM Justin Trudeau's Plane Suffers Technical Snag, Delegation To Stay In India
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's flight encountered a technical issue while attempting to depart from Delhi on Sunday. The Canadian delegation, which had come to the national capital to participate in the G20 Summit, will remain in India until the ground engineering team rectifies the problem, according to an airport official cited by the ANI news agency.
Justin Trudeau arrived in Delhi on September 8, just ahead of the G20 Summit, accompanied by his son Xavier.

During his visit, Trudeau had a sideline meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where the issue of Khalistani extremism in Canada was among the key topics discussed. The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) stated that PM Modi expressed "strong concerns about the ongoing anti-India activities of extremist elements in Canada."
In a press briefing following the meeting, Trudeau stated, "We are always committed to preventing violence and countering hatred." However, he emphasized that Canada would "always uphold freedom of expression, freedom of conscience, and the right to peaceful protest."
Trudeau also described India as an "important partner for Canada" in addressing issues related to climate change and promoting economic growth and prosperity for their citizens. He added, "There is always much work to be done, and we will continue to do it," underscoring their commitment to collaboration.
