Canada-Based Gangster Goldy Brar Declared Terrorist By Indian Government

The Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday declared Satwinder Singh, also known as Satinderjit Singh or Goldy Brar, a Canadian-based gangster, as a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.

Brar has been listed as one of the top 25 most wanted fugitives by Canada's BOLO program. According to a National Investigation Agency (NIA) report, there are connections between the Bishnoi Gang and Goldy Brar with Pro-Khalistan outfits.

In May 2022, a Faridpur court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Brar for the alleged murder of District Youth Congress President Gurlal Singh Pehalwan. Later, on May 29, 2022, Brar purportedly claimed responsibility for the shooting death of Indian singer and politician Sidhu Moose Wala in a Facebook post.

Brar is associated with the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, infamous for its involvement in various high-profile crimes, including the murder of multiple high-ranking police officials.

Currently evading authorities in India and Canada, Brar is subject to a Red Corner Notice issued by the Indian government. This notice allows for his arrest and extradition from any country affiliated with Interpol. Brar faces accusations of conspiring to acquire and distribute illegal firearms and using them in acts of murder and attempted murder.

BOLO has also labeled Brar among its top 25 most sought-after fugitives and is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
