Campa Cola: Hands that resisted clapped in joy; SC hearing on Nov 19

Not just that, one could hear sounds of crackers and laughters here once the Supreme Court issued a stay order on the demolition of the building till May 31, 2014. Not much time, but the residents were happy that they have a few more days to fight their case. And for this, they thank the media.
Goes without saying that the fight has been on since 2005, but SC's intervention was a pleasant surprise as it brought hopes of bringing the builders to justice. In fact, in today's ruling, the apex court has ordered the BMC to take action against the builders too.
Meanwhile, the SC has also announced that it will take up the Campa Cola hearing on November 19, while addressing the issues of the residents.
It was an unforgettable moment when the same grazed gate of the compound, forcefully bulldozed, saw the civic authorities retreating.
