CA Exams 2024: ICAI Extends Application Deadline For November Exams– Apply Now

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the re-opening of the online application process for the Chartered Accountants (CA) exams scheduled for November 2024.

This opportunity is specifically for the Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) Technical Examination and the International Taxation - Assessment Test (INTT-AT). The application period will be open for two days only, from 11:00 AM on September 11 to 11:59 PM on September 12.

The decision to re-open the application process comes in response to numerous requests from students. These students had expressed concerns about the reduced application window, which has been shortened from 28 days to 17 days. This reduction was implemented to accommodate the ICAI's new schedule, which now includes conducting the CA Intermediate and Foundation exams three times a year, instead of the previous twice a year.

To adjust for this new schedule, the application window for the September 2024 CA Intermediate and Foundation exams was reduced to 17 days. This adjustment aims to ensure the timely completion of various exam-related processes, including finalising exam centres, evaluating answer scripts, and declaring results.

The ICAI's official notification states: "In view of the fact that this shortening of timeline from 28 days to 17 days is the first such instance for Chartered Accountants Final and PQC examinations, and considering requests received from students regarding the same, it has been decided to re-open the online filling of examination application forms for Chartered Accountants Final and Post Qualification Course, namely: Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) Technical Examination and International Taxation - Assessment Test (INTT-AT) for two days from September 11, 2024 (11:00 AM) to September 12, 2024 (11:59 PM) with a late fee of Rs 600 (or US$10) as a one-time measure and special case only."

The notification also indicates that this 17-day application window will be the standard for all future Chartered Accountants examinations.
