Businessman's 6-year-old son kidnapped in UP

Agra, March 14: A paper merchant's six-year-old son was kidnapped here by two assailants whose pictures have been captured by CCTV camera.

Prateek Varshneya, father of the kidnapped boy Divya, said his son was cycling in the residence premises on Sunday, March 14 evening in the presence of his mother and grandmother. Two people riding a bike picked up the boy and disappeared.

Senior police official Preetinder Singh said a rescue operation was launched.

Police teams were deployed in various parts of the city but no results so far.

MPs, MLAs and leaders of several parties visited Varshneya's resident late Sunday, March 14 night.

"This was a scary situation, people being picked up from inside the safety of their homes, first such case," said angry neighbours.
