Bus Carrying Devotees To Maha Kumbh Collides With Crane in UP's Kaushambi, 32 Injured
A bus carrying devotees from Himachal Pradesh en route to the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj collided with a hydra crane in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district, leaving at least 32 people injured, eight of whom are in critical condition, police confirmed on Tuesday.
Upon receiving the report, district officials and local police immediately arrived at the scene and swiftly transported the injured to the nearby community health centre in Sirathu. Eight of the passengers were deemed critical and were referred to the medical college for further treatment.

The accident occurred on National Highway-2 near Bhautar turn in the Saini Kotwali area of Kaushambi late on Monday night. The bus, which was hired by residents from Arki village in Himachal Pradesh's Solan district, was on its way to Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh Mela when the incident occurred.
SP Brijesh Srivastava, CO Sirathu, ADM, and the CMO visited the health centre to review the arrangements and check on the condition of the devotees.
CMO Sanjay Singh stated that the accident took place on National Highway-2 on Monday night, with several passengers injured. They were taken to the health centre by six ambulances, while some were referred to the medical college due to their critical condition. Singh added that eight passengers with severe injuries are currently receiving treatment at the medical college.
