Bulandshahr gang rape: Supreme Court rejects Azam Khan's apology
Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi and Fali Nariman told the Supreme Court that Khan's apology is not unconditional and that he be directed to file a fresh affidavit.
New Delhi, Dec 7: The Supreme Court on Wednesday asked Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan to file a fresh affidavit in the Bulandshahr gang rape case by December 15 after noting that the earlier one contained certain errors.
Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi and Fali Nariman told the Supreme Court that Khan's apology is not unconditional and that he be directed to file a fresh affidavit.
However, Khan told the SC that he would use 'remorse' instead of 'apology' in his fresh affidavit in accordance with the court's order.
Khan also offered to pay for the Bulandshahr gang rape survivor's education until she graduated. She turned down that offer.
