BSF Shoots Down Intruder From Pakistan At International Border

An intruder from Pakistan has been shot down by the Border Security Force at the International Border.

The Border Security Force said that they noticed suspicious movement of a person who crossed the international Border from the Pakistan side in the Sambha sector. He was challenged by the troops, but the intruder kept advancing towards the border fencing the BSF also said.

The troops then fired on him and shot him dead, the BSF also added.

This comes in the wake of four terrorists being intercepted by the India Army this week. The Army said that the four terrorists were attempting to cross the fence when they intercepted at the Line of Control.

During the operation, the Army and Jammu and Kashmir police recovered weapons, war-like stores, including one IED and narcotics from the terrorists.

The Intelligence Bureau has been warning that Pakistan would make several attempts to infiltrate terrorists into India.

There has been heavy alert in the border areas since India decided to host the G20 meet in Srinagar. Since then there have been multiple alerts that Pakistan would look to carry out strikes in Jammu and Kashmir.

The security along the Line of Control in particular has been tight with Intelligence agencies warning that Pakistan has set up several launch pads to send in terrorists into Jammu and Kashmir.

The Intelligence report also says that at least 20 terrorists are awaiting orders from their handlers to infiltrate into Jammu and Jammu and Kashmir. The report also said that they are waiting at the Neelam Valley, Jhelum Valley and Leaf of Valley to infiltrate into India.
