Bromance between BJP-TRS? Modi govt likely to give Cabinet post to KCR's daughter Kavitha
New Delhi, Feb 17: Speculation is rife that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhara Rao's daughter K Kavitha may be inducted into the Union Council of Ministers in coming days.
The news has come to fore only a day after it was revealed that TRS likely to join Modi government in the month of April, when cabinet expansion will take place.
This new development gained ground after TRS chief Rao called Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. Rao was in Delhi to attend wedding reception of BJP president Amit Shah's son.
Sources say Modi is very happy with the TRS chief and the way his party cooperated recently in the House. Report says that in reply of the good gesture by the TRS, the Central Government even allowed Kavitha(Rao's daughter)to retain her father's old ministerial bungalow on Tughlak Road.
It is being believed that induction of TRS will not be an easy task for the BJP government as it may displease TDP which is its old ally, having much clout in the Andhra Pradesh. Moreover, BJP will be wary about the controversial past of Kavitha.
In August last year, first time MP Kavitha had raked up huge controversy saying that both Jammu and Kashmir, and Hyderabad, were not part of India earlier and was forcefully annexed. Later, she was also booked on sedition charges, promoting enmity between different groups.
Sources in the Indian government hint at a possible expansion in April when 4 new people may be inducted. It is believed that members from the TRS government and few of Maharashtra's right wing party will be inducted into the Cabinet.
