The death of 24-year-old Deepika Nagar in Greater Noida has taken a disturbing turn after her postmortem report revealed shocking details about the injuries found on her body.

While Deepika's in-laws have reportedly claimed that she either died by suicide or accidentally fell from the terrace, her family has strongly rejected those claims and accused the in-laws of murdering her over dowry demands.

The latest medical findings have intensified public outrage and strengthened the family's demand for strict action against the accused.

Postmortem Report Reveals Serious Internal Injuries

According to the postmortem report, Deepika suffered multiple severe internal injuries before her death.

Doctors reportedly found:

• Bleeding from the nose and mouth
• Internal brain bleeding
• A hematoma on the middle and left side of the brain
• Ruptured liver, spleen, and right kidney
• Injury marks and contusions on the arm and thigh

Medical experts also preserved viscera samples for forensic testing to determine whether any toxic substance may have been involved.

The report has now become a crucial piece of evidence in the investigation.

Family Rejects Suicide and Accident Claims

Deepika died late Sunday night after allegedly falling from the terrace of her three-storey matrimonial home in Jalpura village in Gautam Buddh Nagar district.

However, her family has completely rejected the theory of suicide or accidental fall.
According to her father, Sanjay Nagar, Deepika had called him earlier that day while crying and claimed that she was being assaulted by her in-laws.

The family alleges that her husband and in-laws were continuously pressuring her for dowry.

Alleged Demand for Fortuner SUV and Cash

Deepika's family has accused the in-laws of demanding:

• A Toyota Fortuner SUV
• Rs 45 to 50 lakh in cash

According to the family, the harassment allegedly increased after marriage due to these demands.

Deepika had reportedly married in December 2024, and her relatives claim she began facing mental and physical torture within months of the wedding.

Deepika's father claimed that he and several relatives had gone to her matrimonial home on Sunday evening to try and settle the ongoing dispute.

However, later that night around 12:30 AM, the family allegedly received a call informing them that Deepika had "fallen" and was taken to Sharda Hospital.

Recalling the heartbreaking moment, her father alleged:

"When I reached the hospital, I found my daughter lying dead."

He also claimed that Deepika's body had multiple visible injury marks.

Family Questions Changing Statements of In-Laws

The family has raised serious questions about what they describe as "changing versions" given by the in-laws after Deepika's death.

According to her father:

"They first said she fell from the stairs, later they said from the roof."
The family believes these inconsistencies raise suspicion and indicate attempts to hide the truth.

Allegations of Brutal Assault

Deepika's relatives further claimed that several injuries on her body did not appear consistent with injuries caused only by a fall from height.
Her father alleged that some wounds resembled injuries caused by a screwdriver or sharp object.

Deepika's aunt, Geeta Devi, made even more serious allegations, claiming that Deepika may have been pushed from the building and then assaulted again after surviving the fall.
These allegations are currently being investigated by police authorities.

Husband and Father-in-Law Arrested

Police have already arrested:

• Deepika's husband Hrithik, 26
• Her father-in-law Manoj

The arrests were made after an FIR was registered under sections related to dowry death and other serious charges.

Police officials stated that efforts are underway to arrest the remaining accused named in the complaint.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Shailendra Kumar Singh confirmed that the case was registered based on the complaint filed by Deepika's father.

On the Deepika Nagar death case, eyewitness Gulzar Chaudhary shared his account of the incident and said,

"I was inside my house when I heard a sound. I ran outside... I saw the woman from the house across the street, Ritik's wife, lying on the ground. I went over, lifted her up, and just then, Ritik came running down from upstairs, shouting..."

He further added,

"We put her in Manoj Pradhan's car. This happened around 12:30 AM. Her face was turned toward the ground. It was touching the ground..."

Speaking about Deepika, Gulzar Chaudhary said he had rarely seen her earlier because she mostly stayed covered while stepping outside.

"I had never actually seen Deepika's face before. I only saw her in the news yesterday... She lived modestly. She would always leave the house with her face veiled by a 'ghoonghat'."

He also claimed that he had never heard about disputes between the couple or any complaints against Ritik.

"We never heard of any fights or arguments between them. Nor did we hear anything negative about Ritik. He is a good young man as well... We have never heard of him getting into any fights..."

Describing the situation inside the house, he said:

"There was no one upstairs. I saw Ritik coming down the staircase, and I saw his sister as she opened the door..."

He further added:

"I went inside their house to check... There was no one else in the house, only Ritik's sister, Ritik, and her father-in-law..."
