BPCL PNG Connections Grow Steadily, Reflecting Consumer Trust

In kitchens across cities and smaller towns, a quiet transformation is taking place. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) is steadily expanding its Piped Natural Gas (PNG) network, bringing a more seamless and reliable cooking experience closer to households across regions.

For Kusum Bhatia, who has been using PNG for the past two months, the impact is immediate and practical.

"There is no more tension about gas running out, and the hassle of getting a new cylinder every time has gone," she said.

One of the biggest advantages users point to is continuous availability. Sadaf Khan, another recent user, said the ease of access has changed how she approaches cooking.

"There is no risk or storage issue. Gas is available 24/7, and we pay only for what we use," she said.

The absence of storage concerns and the flexibility of usage make PNG a practical option, especially in urban homes where space and time both matter.

At the AIIMS campus, where the PNG connection has been in use for over a year, a consumer said the uninterrupted supply has made day to day kitchen work easier.

"It is highly convenient now with a 24-hour continuous supply and no hassle of booking or replacing heavy cylinders when the gas runs out. Consumers should consider opting for this, as it offers enhanced convenience along with the advantage of paying only for actual consumption, rather than making upfront payments for gas that will be used over the next 1-2 months, as in LPG," he said.
Positive Experience for New Users

For new users, the transition has been encouraging. Roop Farida Harushkar, who recently received her connection, expressed satisfaction at getting started.

Rekha Bhatt highlighted the steady gas flow and the added sense of safety.

"The gas flow is good and there is no safety fear as no gas is being stored inside my house," she said.

These early experiences are shaping how more households view piped gas as part of their daily lives.

Expanding Access Beyond Cities

A key part of BPCL's PNG expansion is its growing presence in smaller towns and districts such as Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Purulia, Bankura, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Bidar, Sidhi, Singrauli, Satna, Shahdol, Koriya and parts of Odisha.

For many of these regions, access to piped gas brings a new level of convenience. It also supports small businesses and local establishments that rely on steady fuel supply for daily operations.

The expansion is helping bridge the gap between urban and non-urban infrastructure, bringing modern energy access closer to more people.

BPCL's PNG network has crossed more than 1.73 lakh connections, with coverage continuing to expand across regions.
