Border firing gets aggressive; Pak suffers heavy loss

Unprovoked firing from Pakistan at the border area, guarded by BSFs, triggered the whole sequence of events. The aggressive offensive by the Indian troops have caused far more casualties on Pakistan side in just 10 days of firing this year than was witnessed in 30 days of skirmishes last year in August, said a TOI report.
Around eight people, including soldiers, LeT terrorists and civilians, have been killed in Pakistan and over two dozen injured in the firings that began on August 16 this year, said the report.
While on the Indian side, there have been only two casualties.
Pakistan forces have killed nearly 12 Indian soldiers since 2013. This year there has been only one casualty - of a BSF jawan - due to sniper firing a month ago.
