Fly India Fly: Book flight ticket now; After SpiceJet, IndiGo, Jet too give offers
New Delhi, Feb 12: SpiceJet has begun a new war in the aviation sector and now its competitors IndiGo, Jet too has joined the war. After SpiceJet's "Cheaper than train fares" sale, IndiGo and Jet on Wednesday, Feb 11 announced another low fare scheme.
IndiGo introduced a discount scheme offering all-inclusive fares starting Rs 1,499. Joining its competitors, Jet Airways too offered special advance purchase fares for economy class starting Rs 1,933.

While the IndiGo offer is valid on bookings made 90 days ahead of travel date, Jet Airways offer is available on tickets purchased a minimum of 90 days prior for travel on or after July 1.
SpiceJet on Wednesday launched discount scheme offering air tickets as low as Rs 599 (all-inclusive), making it the cheapest offer announced so far this year. [Cheaper than train! SpiceJet offers tickets starting at Rs 599]
There are upto 4 lakh ticktes in the offering for which the bookings are open till Friday. The scheme is valid for travel between July to October 24, 2015. The airline said that the ticket prices were inclusive of all taxes.
With most domestic carriers coming out with steep discounts, the "movement" of air fares has now come under the scanner of the Civil Aviation Ministry. [Air fares come under Civil Aviation Ministry scanner]
While there is no official word, sources said the Ministry is taking a fresh look at the air fare movement and the matter is also being discussed with the aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
