Good news for Maggi lovers! Bombay High Court lifts ban on Maggi
New Delhi, Aug 13: In a big relief for Maggi and Maggi lovers, the Bombay HC on Thursday lifted ban on the two-minute noodles for 6 weeks and has also ordered fresh tests.
Ruling in favour of Nestle, the Bombay HC has said that the FSSAI has to justify the ban. Lifting the ban on Nestle's flagship instant noodle brand Maggi, the HC said that re-tests should be done to again check if it complies with the country's food safety norms.

A similar order was also passed on Maggi's oats variant.
The food safety regulator said tests conducted on a batch of Maggi was found to contain more-than-permissible levels of lead and high quantities of mono-sodium glutamate.
