Abu Salem's parole rejected, marriage on hold
Bombay, Aug 7: 1993 Mumbai blasts case convict Abu Salem's parole application to get married for a was rejected byBombay High Court on Tuesday.
Salem, who is lodged in Taloja jail had sought parole for 45 days to get married for the second time.
On April 21, Navi Mumbai Commissioner rejected Salem's parole application, which he applied for his marriage.
Earlier, Salem had claimed to have married Kausar over the phone during a train journey in 2014 when he was being taken to Lucknow for a court hearing.
Kausar had subsequently filed an application before a local court threatening to kill herself if she was not granted permission to marry the jailed gangster.
Salem has been in jail since his extradition from Portugal In 2005. The gangster is serving a life sentence in jail after being convicted in the 1993 Mumbai blasts that had killed 257 and injured 713 people. He has also been sentenced to seven years rigorous imprisonment in 2002 extortion case by Delhi Court.
