Police teams have been dispatched to both the airport and the Taj hotel where checks are taking place. The dog squad too has been pressed into service.

The police have advised the people not to panic suggesting that the call may be a hoax. We are however taking no chances and enhanced security at both the airport and the Taj hotel, the police say. In the wake of this threat there would however be no disruption of flight services.

Everything is going on as normal as security agencies continue to do their job, the officer informed.

The security is already high in Mumbai as the special MCOCA court is set to decide on the quantum of the sentence for 12 persons convicted in the 9/11 serial train blasts.

Police sources say that all arrangements are in place ahead of the sentencing tomorrow. Special security arrangements have also been provided to Judge Y Shinde who will be delivering the verdict tomorrow on the quantum of sentence.

The Special MCOCA court had convicted 12 persons while acquitting one in the case.
