Bomb Threat Halts Jammu-Jodhpur Express In Punjab; Evacuation And Search Underway
An express train traveling from Jammu to Jodhpur was abruptly halted at Kasu Begu station in Firozpur, Punjab, after a bomb threat was received, according to news agency ANI. Police have rushed to the scene and an investigation is underway.
The threat was made against the Jammu Tawi-Bhagat Ki Kothi Express (train number 19926) near Firozpur, prompting swift action from security forces, including the police and the Railway Protection Force (RPF). The threat was reported via the Rail Madad app, which allows passengers to file complaints and track their status in real-time, using a mobile number registered in West Bengal.

As a precautionary measure, the train was stopped at Kasu Begu station, approximately 10 kilometers from Ferozepur. Passengers were safely evacuated and a comprehensive search operation is currently underway. Bomb squad units, the fire brigade, and medical teams are on site, conducting a thorough investigation to ensure everyone's safety.
Senior police officials, including Randhir Kumar, Superintendent of Police (Investigation) in Ferozepur, have confirmed that the situation is under control and all necessary precautions are being taken. The incident is being closely monitored, and further updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
