Bollywood Shocker: Director Ram Gopal Verma taunts Ganpati on Ganesha Chaturthi!!
Verma's statement surfaced on a day while the entire nation was busy in celebrating Ganesha Chaturthi. Verma, who stays in Mumbai, might have heard the chanting of 'Ganpati bappa moriya' across the city while sending his shocking tweets through his personal Twitter account.
Criticising Lord Ganesha, Verma wrote, "I have an innocent question...can someone please tell me how a Lord who couldn't save his own head will save others heads?"
How a Lord who couldn't save his own head will save others heads?
Several shocking tweets of Verma irked people of the country. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), meanwhile, demanded apology from the director. However, Verma refused to comment on the controversy and asserted that he had said whatever he wanted to say on Twitter.
Irrespective of paying heed to others, Verma continued to mock Ganesha while tweeting, "I think my films are flopping only becos of my attitude towards Gods. ..I wish I can become a devotee."
Here are a few tweets from Verma's Twiiter account:
