Sad: Bollywood actress Rati Agnihotri reveals why she opts to end marriage after 30 years

Mumbai, March 31: Months after her decision of filing legal case against husband, Rati Agnihotri finally broke her silence and revealed why actually she chose to break her marriage after 30 years.

Now, the actress revealed that it was her son Tanuj who advised her to take her own decision. The actress has been quoted as saying, 'Tanuj is the only reason I stuck on(in the marriage). He is 28 now and man enough to face the truth in his mother's life."

"...he has told me. 'Mom, don't live your life for me. Live for yourself. Do what you think is right for yourself," said the actress while recalling the words of her son.

Putting an end to all speculations regarding her sudden decision to end the marriage after 30 years, Rati Agnihotri said, "This (ending the marriage) was my son's decision for me. A police officer earlier had said, "A case has been registered against Virwani under IPC sections 498A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 350 (use of criminal force) and 506 (criminal intimidation)."

The 54-year-old actress, who stays in south Mumbai's Worli area with her architect-businessman husband and actor son Tanuj, had been suffering the violence for a long time, according to her complaint.
