Exclusive: Actor Sunny Deol says NO to politics but speaks about Modi
Speaking to Oneindia during an interview in Mumbai, Deol said, "I have no ambition to go into politics. I am very much an actor and like to be in acting." The actor said that he did not like the way how his father used to struggle to act on his own when he had joined politics. Dharmendra had won elections on BJP ticket from Bikaner, Rajashthan in 2004.
Speaking about his father, veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra, Sunny said, "I have seen my Dad when he was there he used to rely on so many people to get a job done. If I can't do the thing so why should a person like me will go to politics?"

While asked about his road show endorsing BJP candidate Satyapal Singh in Baghpat district of western Uttar Pradesh, Sunny said that he supports Singh and not the party. Speaking about Singh's contribution to the society as the Police Commissioner of Mumbai, Sunny said, "I went for it because I know him personally. He was a good commissioner, he has done lot of good work for the city. He left everything and joined the politics."
"...we need people who are good and have good energy. We need people who go out and do something good for our country," added Sunny.
Sunny, who refused to support BJP, however, spoke about the prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. He did not clarify his stand on Modi but he said, "I don't know who is the right or wrong person. I do not want to take any side but we definitely need a change now."
He, however, urged people to cast their votes. The Bollywood actor said, "I request everyone to vote and choose right people so that our country will be good. Go and vote that is the most important thing."
Recently, media reports claimed that he was in touch with BJP leaders and might join the party. Other reports also claimed thatSunny Deol might replace Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate Manpreet Singh Ayali in Ludhiana.
