Mumbai Shocker: Actress's maid raped, Shahrukh Khan's driver arrested

Mumbai, June 26: Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan's driver was arrested on Wednesday, June 25. The driver, who has been identified as Rajendrakumar Gautam alias Pintu Mishra was accused of raping Bollywood actress Sangeeta Bijlani's maid in Mumbai.

34-year-old Gautam allegedly had lured the 17-year-old girl on the pretext of giving her a job with better salary and had taken her to a hotel where he allegedly had raped her. The girl, who hails from Latur, Maharashtra, filed police complaint against Gautam who has been booked under Section 376 (Rape) of the IPC.

One Mumbai police officer was quoted as saying, "The girl was inconsolable and traumatised. She has no one here in Mumbai and is the only earning member of her family. She has now decided to move back to her home in Latur with her mother."

News TV channel NDTV quoted a source close to the Bollywood actor as saying, "The driver arrested has nothing to do with SRK or his family. He has driven the car for the kids on a few occasions. Otherwise, he drives one of the vehicles that are part of Khan's convoy."

The accused would be produced before a court in Mumbai on Thursday, June 26. The 34-year-old is a resident of Asalpha in Andheri (East). According to sources, the accused once had taken the victim to Shahrukh Khan's bungalow.
