Bollywood Actor Pankaj Tripathi's Father Dies At 99

Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi's father Banaras Tiwari passed away on Monday, a statement from the artiste said. He was aged 99.

"It's with a heavy heart to confirm that Pankaj Tripathi's father, Pandit Banaras Tiwari is no more. He lived a wholesome life of 99 years," the statement said.

He also stated that the final rites of his father will be done in his village. "His last rites will be performed today amongst his close family. Pankaj Tripathi is currently on his way to his village in Gopalganj," it added.

Pankaj's father resided in Belsand in Bihar with his wife. However, Pankaj stayed in Mumbai with his family.

On the other hand, Tripathi is basking in the success of his recently-released flick 'OMG 2' which has minted over Rs 100 crore at the Indian box office.

'OMG 2' is a comedy-drama film about sex education in Indian schools, written and directed by Amit Rai. It is a spiritual sequel to 'OMG - Oh My God!' which hit the screens in 2012. The latest flick also has Akshay Kumar, and Yami Gautam in the key roles.
