Bihar News: IAS, IPS, and IFS Associations to Organize Blood Donation Camp on World Blood Donors Day

The IAS, IPS, and IFS Associations are organising a Blood Donation Camp in Patna on World Blood Donors Day. The event aims to encourage community participation and surpass previous donation records.

Patna - Continuing their noble tradition, the IAS Association, in collaboration with the IPS Association and IFS Association, will organize a Blood Donation Camp on the eve of World Blood Donors Day on Saturday, June 14 at IAS Bhawan. The initiative is actively supported by the IAS Wives Association, IPS Wives Association, and IFS Wives Association, in association with Maa Blood Centre.

The camp will commence at 9:00 AM, with an inaugural ceremony at 9:15 AM, jointly led by: Shri Amrit Lal Meena, Chief Secretary, Bihar; Shri Vinay Kumar, Director General of Police, Bihar; Shri Prabhat Kumar Gupta, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Bihar. Additionally, Shri V. S. Dubey, IAS (Retd.), former Chief Secretary of Bihar and Jharkhand, has graciously consented to be the Chief Guest for the occasion.

All members of the IAS, IPS, and IFS Associations, along with their families, are encouraged to participate as donors and support the Raktveers—the brave blood donors. Officers are also urged to motivate their colleagues to attend in large numbers and contribute to this pious campaign.

Since its inception in 2021, the blood donation camp has seen increasing participation each year: 2021 – 68 units collected; 2022 – 109 units collected; 2023 – 110 units collected; 2024 – 179 units collected. With this year's event, the organizers aim to surpass previous records and further strengthen the spirit of community service and humanitarian aid. The IAS, IPS, and IFS Associations, along with their respective Wives' Associations, extend their heartfelt request for cooperation in making this event a success.
